Singapore Airshow 2018: Harris expands its horizons

Harris Defence Australia (HDA) is feeling particularly buoyant on the back of last year’s Project Land 200 Tranche 2 success in Australia. That A$1.4 billion ($1.06 billion) contract will see Harris supply a tactical communications network to the Australian Army.

Speaking to Shephard at Singapore Airshow 2018, Alan Callaghan, president and managing director of HDA, praised the ‘spirit of cooperation’ between the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG), Army Headquarters and Department of Defence ‘to hone in on the best possible solution’ for Australia’s battlefield command system.

Although announced in November, this Land 200 contract was actually signed in September.
