SGA2012: ITT hopeful of NVG contracts
User evaluation of ITT Exelis' latest net-centric vision enhancement systems is due to be completed by the end of the year, company officials have told Shephard.
Speaking at the Singapore Airshow on 15 February, ITT Exelis VP for night vision and imaging, David Smith said US forces and an undisclosed western European nation were evaluating the products.
The 'i-Aware' family of net-centric tactical sensors include the Spiral Enhanced Night Vision Goggles (SENVG+); Tactical Mobility NVG (TM-NVG); and Clip-on display. Launched at AUSA in October 2011, the i-Aware family is designed to transmit and receive data including image intensification (I2);
