SGA2012: Raytheon underlines Asia-Pacific special mission market

Raytheon has highlighted the importance of special mission aircraft in the Asia-Pacific region on the back of the delivery of the first APY-10 radar to Boeing for the Indian Navy.

Speaking at the Singapore Airshow on 14 February, Tim Carey, Raytheon VP for ISR systems said current threats in the region comprised political unrest and natural disaster. ‘These create an urgent need for situation awareness at any point. Maritime supply chains must be monitored to maintain healthy economies.
