Russia buys Grot-M satnavs

The Russian Ministry of Defence started buying Grot-M satellite navigation designed by Russian Institute of Space Device Engineering.

So far, more than 600 units of Grot-M have already been supplied and this figure could increase by up to 1000-1200 units by the end of the current year. Grot-M systems are priced from $7,000-$9,000 each. 

The first deliveries will be for military units of the Southern and Central Districts of Russia and mainly installed on self-propelled howitzers (such as MSTA-S) and similar weapons.
