World Defense Show 2026: Northrop Grumman to present improved C2 management system

RT LTA Systems and Syntonics have developed a new integrated RF communications solution for RT's SkyStar 100 aerostat, to enable real-time tactical communications using the aerostat from any ground surface.
The rapidly deployable solution integrates a Syntonics FORAX-HARC-Mini (Fiber Optic Remote Antenna eXtension-High Antennas for Radio Communications) antenna with the SkyStar 100. The antenna can be snapped on in the field, lofted as high as 500ft and weighs 2.8lbs. It can be operated with any push-to-talk radio.
The antenna is separated from the ground communication device and installed on the SkyStar 100 mini aerostat using a fibre optic remote antenna extension. In doing so, obstructions that prevent RF communications in mountainous terrain are neutralised, enabling forces to communicate in any terrain.
Rami Shmueli, managing director, RT, said: ‘This strategic cooperation has created a first-of-its-kind mini-aerostat – the SkyStar 100 with real-time communication capabilities from any type of land surface. The significance of providing communication during emergencies in problematic areas is that lives will be saved – and we are happy that the cooperation between RT and Syntonics has resulted in this life-saving solution.’

Nomad can provide militaries with real-time intelligence, saving critical time on the battlefield.
Taurus operates alongside the Israel Defense Forces’ Orion system which supports mission management across tens of thousands of manoeuvring forces, from squad leaders to battalion commanders.
The plan for the new displays follows fresh investment in Kopin’s European facilities by Theon and an order for head-up displays in fielded aircraft, with funding from the US Department of Defense.
Persistent Systems received its largest ever single order for its MPU5 devices and other systems earlier this month and has already delivered the 50 units to the US Army’s 4th Infantry Division.
