Raytheon to provide improved track correlation and fusion capability
Raytheon Company has been awarded a $4.8 million contract to develop and install a system that will provide improved intelligence and information sharing to the Joint Interagency Task Force-South (JIATF-S).
Raytheon will provide JIATF-S with a track correlation system consisting of a multisensor correlation, intelligence fusion, and information-sharing capability as part of the Joint Operations Center modernization project known as JOC 2010.
Raytheon was awarded the contract by the Department of Defense's Counter-Narcoterrorism Program Office that includes a base and two options, valued at nearly $4.8 million, with a total potential value of $6.6 million.
"Fielding this type of proven and affordable capability is critical to our homeland security," said Karen Kalil-Brown, vice president of National and Theater Security Programs, whose portfolio of programs includes the homeland security business area for Raytheon's Integrated Defense Systems. "We are pleased to continue growing and deploying this broad capability for use in protecting our coastline, ports and borders."
Raytheon is a supplier of proven multidomain awareness systems in support of counter- narcoterrorism technology networks, infrastructure and capabilities worldwide that focus on the detection, identification, and disruption of narcoterrorist activities and organizations.
