A new AESA radar antenna is being offered for the Patriot air defence system that could improve its capabilities.
Using Gallium Nitride (GaN) the full demonstration prototype AESA radar was displayed at the AUSA Global symposium in March.
Raytheon, which builds Patriot, promised last year at the AUSA Global symposium in 2015 that it intended to offer a new radar solution for the system.
