NovAtel introduces new positioning receiver

NovAtel has introduced a new compact, dual-antenna, dual-frequency, single-card receiver for rotary wing aircraft, marine applications, autonomous ground vehicle and other applications requiring precise position and heading accuracy. The receiver, called OEM617D, uses ALIGN heading functionality and RT-2 Real Time Kinematic (RTK) GNSS positioning technology, in dynamic and static environments.

According to the company, the OEM617D offers dual-frequency operation with GPS, GLONASS and BeiDou signals to maximise GNSS availability globally. It also tracks Galileo, SBAS and QZSS. 

NovAtel’s firmware and correction capabilities enhance the positioning performance of the OEM617D receiver. Firmware is field upgradable and scalable, depending on application needs. In addition to RTK centimetre-level real time positioning, and ALIGN precise heading and relative positioning, the OEM617D offers GLIDE for decimetre-level-pass-to-pass accuracy and RAIM for increased GNSS pseudorange integrity.
