NIE 16.2: US Army keeps cyber focus
Cyber defence is one of the main priorities during the latest US Army Network Integration Evaluation iteration 16.2.
Trials, which started on 2 May, are being undertaken using the Army’s only Brigade Combat Team that has a cyber defense technician at the tactical level.
This makes the 2nd Brigade Combat Team of the US Army’s 1 Armored Division (2/1AD), unique for a BCT. It is also unique because it is deployable as well as the lead formation used for NIE.
