NIE 16.2: Command Post Computing grows

The Command Post Computing Environment (CP CE) is being used for the first time by the US Army at the Brigade Combat Team level.

An expanded version of CP CE is being tested at the US Army’s Network Integration Evaluation (NIE) event 16.2. 

CP CE is one of the systems under evaluation (SUE) at the event in Ft Bliss, Texas, that started on 2 May.

‘The Command Post Computing Environment that we have brought here to the NIE is part of our risk reduction effort,’ explained Colonel Robert Collins, US Army program manager for the Distributed Common Ground System –
