MILCOM 2011: FDF pursues communications upgrade
The Finnish Defence Forces (FDF) are set to receive an initial tranche of 40 Tactical Wireless IP Network routers from Elektrobit (EB) Corporation as part of wider plans to upgrade its communications capability.

Designed as a stand-alone military wireless broadband network, the tactical router enables the formation of an independent IP network, which is compatible with existing infrastructure, both wired and wireless, Kettunen described.
