MILCOM 10: Raytheon primed to deliver NMT to customers in 2011

Raytheon is preparing to deliver its first Navy Multiband Terminal (NMT) to the US Navy and other international customers in the latter part of 2011, company officials have told Digital Battlespace.

The news comes on the back of the US Navy's decision to award an initial production order for 22 systems, including equipment for 15 ships, five submarines and two shore terminals, worth a total of $37.6 million.

However, Raytheon said it would be ready to deliver these and an additional six systems to Canada, the Netherlands and the UK although it admitted there would be a small 'lag
