MILCOM 09: Generals pull no punches laying out challenges to be faced in converging DoD networks, protecting digital infrastructure
A keynote panel of general officers offered a DoD-wide perspective on ‘convergence’, the drive to make disparate C4 systems work together in a common information environment.
All were clear that, despite successes, there is a long way to go, and all were exercised about cyber threats to America’s digital infrastructure, the protection of which President Obama declared a national security priority in May.
