MicroTech awarded Pentagon IT support contract
Leading Technology Systems Integrator MicroTech has been selected as a Prime Vendor for the $20 Million-plus Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs (OASD-PA) IT support services contract at the Pentagon. MicroTech will leverage its proven and certified business processes and solutions to assist our troops in this important technical role. MicroTech will provide Information Resource Management (IRM) IT Operations Support, Application Development, IT Security Services, Integration Services, and Configuration Management.
The Assistant Secretary of Defense (Public Affairs) is the principal staff advisor and assistant to the Secretary of Defense and Deputy Secretary of Defense, providing internal information, public information, community relations, information training, and audiovisual matters. The office follows the Secretary'sprinciples of information in providing defense department information to the public, Congress, and the media, and sponsors the official Web site of the Department of Defense; the starting point for finding US Military information online.

The contract was awarded under the GSA IT Schedule 70 IDIQ Multiple Award Schedule contract. MicroTech holds 25-plus Federal contract vehicles and offers access to 2500 vendors and over a million tech products across the government. Supporting 200 users, MicroTech will provide onsite employees at the Pentagon to support the OASD (PA) contract. MicroTech is teaming with Williamsburg, Va.-based R&K Enterprise Solutions.
MicroTech was awarded a $2.5 Billion Warfighter contract in March of this year, and an additional $400 Million Army contract in February.
