L3 Technologies has been selected to demonstrate existing technologies for the US Navy’s Next Generation Jammer Low Band (NGJ-LB), which will fly on the E/A-18G Growler, the company announced on 30 October.
The $36 million contract covers a period of performance of 20 months, concluding in a demonstration at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland.
The NGJ-LB system will augment, and eventually replace, the ALQ-99 tactical jamming system currently integrated on the EA-18G Growler aircraft.
