IDEX 2011: GNOMAD bound for Iraq
The US Army and ITT Electronic Systems are working up plans to deploy an undisclosed number of Global Network On the Move-Active Distribution (GNOMAD) systems to Iraq in order to fill a capability gap in the current communications suite, Digital Battlespace has been informed.
According to ITT officials at IDEX 2011 in Abu Dhabi, the army is ‘very close’ to delivering an initial package of GNOMAD systems into the field in the next 90 days.
