Harris receives F/A-18 EW contract modification
Harris Corporation has received a $212 million contract modification to supply the next production lot of electronic jammers for US Navy and foreign military sales F/A-18 Hornet and Super Hornet aircraft, the company announced on 29 April.
The contract will see Harris manufacture and deliver Integrated Defensive Electronic Countermeasure (IDECM) jammers for F/A-18C/D/E/F variants.
Harris’ ALQ-214A(V)4/5 is the key onboard EW jamming system for the IDECM programme, protecting the aircraft from electronic threats, including sophisticated integrated air defence systems.
Deliveries are expected to be complete by August 2022.
