Engility to support USNORTHCOM comms
Engility will provide and support communications systems for the US Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) under a $49 million contract announced on 3 November.
The three year contract falls under USNORTHCOM’s Deployable Communications Capabilities System (DCCS) umbrella project. USNORTHCOM encompasses Department of Defense, civil first responders, homeland defence operations and disaster relief activities.
Under the contract, Engility will provide and support the systems that enable secure and non-secure data, voice, and video communications services, from a single operator to a joint task force with hundreds of supported users. The solutions are based on soldier-carried, vehicular and transit-case platforms.
The work will include providing full system lifecycle support, including capability design, solutions development, engineering, systems modifications, technical refresh, training and repair.
Tony Smeraglinolo, president and CEO, Engility, said: ‘This win continues a valued relationship with USNORTHCOM and highlights our team’s ability to deliver highly technical solutions that put the needs of the customer and operators first. We are excited to serve this combatant command level of effort.’
