D&S 2019: Thales supports Thai armoured vehicle digitisation

Thales is helping the Thai military to digitise military vehicles, with one fruit of that effort on display at Defense & Security 2019 in Bangkok. The platform in question was a BTR-3CS, which is a Command Staff variant of the BTR-3E1 8x8 vehicle that Thailand purchased from Ukraine.

On display at the booth of the Defence Technology Institute (DTI), a Thai MoD agency, the BTR-3CS destined for the Royal Thai Army (RTA) has an integrated digital C5i (computerised, command, control, communications and combat information) suite.

According to Massimo Marinzi, Thales’ country director for Thailand, the vehicle is outfitted with F@stnet
