UAE looks for the Edge in Gulf defence market
Amid the glitz and audio-visual wizardry of an upscale Abu Dhabi hotel, Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces officially launched a new Abu Dhabi-owned defence and technology company, Edge.
Aimed at bringing ‘innovation in defence, security and far beyond’ Edge has been created by drawing together 25 companies, including subsidiaries, from the Emirates Defence Industries Company (EDIC), the Emirates Advanced Investments Group (EAIG), Tawazun Holding and ‘other independent organisations’.
