UK MoD personnel tested for COVID-19 passes 20,000 mark
More than 20,000 service and civilian personnel working for the UK MoD have been tested for COVID-19 since the outbreak of the pandemic, with 463 returning a positive result.
Publishing its fortnightly statistics on COVID-19 testing on 10 September, the MoD stated that as of 28 August 21,954 defence personnel had been checked under the national testing programme. The reporting period for published figures began the week ending 10 April 2020.
This represents an increase of 2,820 from the 19,134 tests carried out up to 14 August, which itself was an increase of 2,902 from the 16,232 defence personnel tested
