Poland consolidates defence industry
The Polish government has announced the establishment of Poland Armaments Group in an effort to strengthen its defence industry.
Under the plan, major state-owned defence companies will be integrated into the new defence holding, including the recently-restructured Polish Defence Holding (PHO), Stalowa Wola and 11 other manufacturers.
‘Establishing such a group should give a much-needed boost to the Polish defence sector. It will create synergy arising from better coordination and specialisation,’ Prime Minister Donald Tusk said at a press conference in September.
