Airshow China: FC-31 fighter makes debut
The FC-31 fighter, a developmental platform from the Shenyang Aircraft Corporation (SAC), is participating in flying displays at Airshow China 2014 in Zhuhai.
Widely known as the J-31, the aircraft’s presence is a major step forward from the 1:4 scale model exhibited at the same show two years earlier, and demonstrates speed and confidence in the aircraft’s development.
The FC-31 is designated as a ‘fourth-generation multipurpose medium fighter, demonstrating a progression from China’s third-generation J10 fighter aircraft.
