DefExpo 2016: ‘Uplift’ in UK-Indian defence
Spearheaded by Minister of State for Defence Procurement Philip Dunne, the UK was making a push to solidify defence cooperation with India at DefExpo 2016.
Dunne told Shephard that military-to-military links between the UK and India are becoming more active. ‘Our defence relationship is going through a significant uplift in warmth and closeness,’ Dunne related.
Dunne highlighted that the UK is increasing and restoring historic relationships across equipment programmes in all three services.
One example is an MoU signed between Cranfield University and Tata Power SED on 29 March.
