UK MoD signs off on Gazelle support contract
The UK MoD has issued Airbus Helicopters UK (AHUK) with a new £6.1 million three-year support contract covering its fleet of 24 Gazelle AH Mk1 helicopters.
Airbus France is also involved in the work as a subcontractor, with items listed in the procurement including spare parts, technical service support, a component repair and overhaul service as well as platform support management, according to details published by the EU Tenders website on 20 May.
The contract also includes a three-year follow-on option, which if exercised would provisionally commence in Q2 2022.
AHUK was awarded the contract, on a sole-source basis
