PTDI answers the Bell for Indonesian Army

PTDI continues to serve the Indonesian military with helicopter production of models like the Bell 412EPI, Super Puma and Panther.

The Indonesian Army received its first Bell 412EPI helicopter on 29 December 2020, almost precisely two years after nine such aircraft were ordered by Jakarta.

A social media announcement from Indonesian state-owned aerospace company PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) revealed on the same day, ‘PTDI delivered one unit of Bell 412EPI helicopters for the Indonesian Army.’

The nonet had been ordered by the Indonesian Army (TNI-AD) on 28 December 2018.

Bell started delivering basic airframes from Canada in January 2019, with PTDI customising the airframes and performing final integration at its Bandung facility. In April 2020, type certification was achieved
