Philippine Navy bolsters patrol fleet

The Philippines received the first two of five leased TC-90 (a Beechcraft King Air variant) aircraft from Japan on 27 March, with a formal transfer ceremony taking place at Sangley Point in Cavite.

The final three aircraft will all be delivered by March 2018. However, the Philippines will have to add equipment such as surveillance systems to these ex-trainer aircraft from the Japan Maritime Self-Defence Force (JMSDF).
