Germany to send WS-61 Westland Sea King helicopters to Ukraine
Germany has committed to sending Ukraine six of its 21 retiring WS-61 Westland Sea King multirole, amphibious helicopters.
Nuri to receive cockpit upgrade
Airod signed an MoU with Heli-One on 20 April that will pave the way for Sikorsky S-61A-4 Nuri helicopters of the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) to extend their lives.
The agreement signed during the DSA 2016 exhibition in Kuala Lumpur covers glass cockpit upgrades for the Nuri platform that Malaysia has operated since the 1960s. The partners will develop a customised and ‘very cost-effective solution’.
Heli-One commented in a press release, ‘The upgrade will add new tactical capabilities and allow for standardisation of aircraft systems across the fleet. It will enable the aircraft to fly day and night under
