Aircraft manufacturer MD Helicopters is exhibiting at LIMA for the first time, asit pushes its revamped product line-up at the emerging scout/light attack helicopter requirements in the region. One potential customer is Malaysia, especially in light of ongoing security operations in Eastern Sabah.
The company will display the latest version of its midrange scout attack helicopter – the MD 530G – on the flight line and will also be promoting the virtues of the more advanced MD 540A. During a demonstration flight, Shephard experienced the manoeuvrability of the MD 530G above Langkawi’s ridgelines.
