LAAD 2013: Rockwell Collins widens military footprint

Rockwell Collins has secured a significant army aviation radio contract with the Brazilian armed forces, as it looks to increases its share of the military market in-country.

Announced at the LAAD exhibition in Rio de Janeiro on 10 April, the contract will see Rockwell Collins provide its AN/ARC-210 Talon radio for around 90 helicopters flown by the Brazilian Army.

Thierry Tosi, vice president and managing director of the Americas for Rockwell Collins, told Shephard that in addition to supplying VHF/UHF Talon radios, Rockwell Collins will provide in-country service and support for the systems.
