ADEX 2015: Doosan develops dynamic duo
Headlining Doosan DST’s armoured vehicle product line-up at the Seoul ADEX 2015 show were two new armoured vehicles.
One was the 26.5t Hybrid Bi-Ho, an antiaircraft system featuring both cannons and surface-to-air missiles (SAM). The hybrid part of the nomenclature comes from the fact that short-range missiles have been added to the existing twin 30mm guns on the original K30 Bi-Ho.
Design of the Hybrid Bi-Ho was completed in 2014, and a unit evaluation by the Republic of Korea Army (ROKA) occurred this month. It is now in full-rate production. The vehicle has a four-man crew, but it can
