Brazil to increase jungle training
Jungle training for officers and NCOs in Brazil is set to expand over the coming years as part of a 10-year transformation plan.
The Centro de Instrucao de Guerra na Selva (CIGS), or Jungle Warfare Training Centre will get additional facilities and be commanded by an officer of General rank instead of a Colonel.
Speaking to journalists on a press trip, Col Alcimar Marques de Araújo Martins, the commandant of the CIGS said the centre will be rebranded to become the Army Warfare Integration Centre. A new doctrinal centre for the study of jungle operations and a centre to test
