Project Selborne decision expected in May
The UK RN is currently in a ‘competitive dialogue phase’ with bidders for its Project Selborne training programme and is now ‘approaching final tenders in May', the project team leader Capt Andy Green RN has said.
The three final bidders for the programme are Babcock International, Lockheed Martin and Raytheon. Contract start date is expected in April 2021 with a full rollout of the programme in 2023-25.
Project Selborne will blend 28 currently outsourced training programmes into one unified programme. It is expected to be worth around £2 billion ($2.6 billion) over 12 years to the eventual winner.
