MilSim Asia: RST showcases H145 simulator
The company develops civil and military training technology for pilots and technicians of fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft.
The H145 Level D full flight simulator (FFS) features a six degrees of freedom electric motion and vibration system and the capability for distributed simulation networking.
The dome display has a 240x80° field of view with a dual-channel LED projection system and NVG stimulation. The onboard instructor operating station (IOS) provides for briefing, debriefing and scenario generation.
The H145 FFS has been in development since 2015. In March 2016, Quantum3D was selected to provide the image generators and synthetic visual databases for the system. The FFS passed factory acceptance testing in November, which included the successful simulation of HEMS operations during day and night.
The FFS will now be delivered to German civil air rescue organisation ADAC’s training facility in Bonn, Germany, for on-site integration and certification.
The H145 Avionics Desktop Trainer will also be a focus for RST at MilSim Asia.
A derivative of the FFS, the ADT is a classroom solution for procedure training and familiarisation in both manual and AFCS modes. The system features high fidelity flight dynamics, Garmin Lite and an optional EuroNav 7 navigation kit.
The IOS is a derivative of that of the FFS, with mission planning, fuel management, weather simulation and malfunction capabilities. It is also optional for the trainer to include simulations of an automatic terminal information system and an automatic collision avoidance system.
