Cubic tailors mortar simulator for the US Army

RUAG Defence has received a contract from the French Army to provide 500 laser-based target systems, the company announced on 8 August.
The systems will be to provide realistic training exercises for infantry troops.
The laser-based target mobile systems will be deployable during the day and at night, and will be compatible with two-way laser systems such as UCATT.
The contract also includes repair and maintenance work to maintain the operational capability of the systems for the next seven years.
Delivery of the systems is scheduled to take place over the next two to three years.

This type of tool provides more realistic training easing the incorporation of new scenarios that accurately represent the threats of the battlefield.
The Engineering Corps has been conducting individual instruction using FLAIM Systems’ Sweeper and should start collective deployments in 2025.
The next-generation platform is motion-compatible and can be used in OTW and NVG applications.
The system can be used to prepare soldiers for both drone offensive operations and CUAS missions.
