RIMPAC 2024 brings more navies together than ever before for biennial warfare exercise
RIMPAC 2024 offered 29 national navies opportunities to train together for combat readiness in multiple domains, including underwater.
Listed as a key programme in the European Council’s Permanent Structured Cooperation framework, which was established in 2017 to improve pan-European cooperation in the defence sector, the EPC is being developed by Naviris, a joint venture between Naval Group and Fincantieri, in coordination with other industrial partners and national and European authorities.
To date, four countries have signed up for the programme: France, Italy, Spain and Greece.
While still at the early stage of design, Naviris provided a programme update on 21 October during an online roundtable held under the aegis of the Euronaval online conference.
