Shaldag Mk II sea trials to begin for African customer
Israel Shipyards recently launched an additional Shaldag Mk II fast patrol craft for an unnamed West African government customer, and preparations are under way for sea trials. Delivery is due to take place during Q3 2020, a few weeks after the trials are completed.
‘The Shaldag Mk II class [of] fast patrol boat is a combat-proven craft for security missions where high-speed interception is required, such as terrorism, piracy and other illegal activities,’ Barak Lafer, MD of Israel Shipyards, told Shephard.
Shaldag patrol craft have a modular design, enabling customers to request combat systems that are tailored to their requirements.
