DCNS push the Gowind
The recent opening of a representative office in Bogata, Colombia, by French shipbuilders DCNS again highlights the value it places on the global export market.
Having unveiled a new 4,000t frigate, dubbed the Belharra, at Euronaval last year in a bid to secure what the company sees as a demand for up to 30 platforms; this latest push with the Gowind patrol vessel range shows that naval ship exports are very much at the forefront for DCNS.
Speaking to Shephard at the recent IDEX defence show in Abu Dhabi recently Philippe Darche, surface warship business development manager at DCNS, reiterated
