Zhuhai 2016: Dongfeng finally shows initiative
Dongfeng Motor Corporation deservedly earned a reputation for copying when it unveiled an almost identical version of the iconic American HMMWV in 2006. However, at the 11th Zhuhai Air Show in China, Dongfeng demonstrated that it has moved well beyond reverse engineering and is capable of producing unique designs.
Brand new in Zhuhai was the two-member EQ2101 Warrior family. The EQ2101MCTB is a 6x6 support vehicle for infantry fire teams. Powered by a 177kW Dongfeng YC6DV diesel engine, the 10t vehicle can move four soldiers around the battlefield at speeds of up to 120km/h. It is 6.45m long, 2.38m
