US Army ploughs on with Bradley replacement
The release of the RfP for the Optionally Manned Fighting Vehicle (OMFV) prototype phase by the US Army clearly shows how the service is getting serious about its Bradley fighting vehicle replacement programme.
However, it does call into question whether the army will be able to get everything it wants from the platform in a short space of time. Indeed, the army ‘anticipates awarding up to two contracts for the MTA Rapid Prototyping phase at the end of the second quarter of Fiscal Year 2020’ according to the 29 March release.
