UK funds new Foxhound upgrades
The UK MoD has confirmed to Shephard that it has awarded General Dynamics a £2.8 million ($3.6 million) contract to design and deliver upgrade kits for the Foxhound 4x4 Light Protected Patrol Vehicle (LPPV).
Thales UK has also been awarded a contract of up to for £4.5 million for a Local Situational Awareness (LSA) system.
The contract will include modification kits for 66 vehicles and is scheduled to be delivered to the British Army by summer 2019, according to a UK MoD spokesperson. General Dynamics declined to comment on the award.
