Singapore armour training in Taiwan
The existence in Taiwan of a Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) armoured fighting vehicle training centre was verified by a report published by a Taiwanese local newspaper United Evening News last week.
The appearance of ST Kinetics Terrex 8x8 armoured vehicles in Taiwan first gained attention in 2012, when witnesses saw a Terrex ‘escape the scene’ after accidentally showing up at the Republic of China Army (ROCA) Armour Training School before an open house. Although the SAF attempts to maintain secrecy over training activities in Taiwan, Shephard has also observed ST Kinetics Bionix infantry fighting vehicles there too.
