Singapore unveils Belrex extended family
The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) commissioned the Paramount Marauder on 25 November, this new platform known locally as the Belrex Protected Combat Support Vehicle (PCSV).
The PCSV is a joint project by the Defence Science Technology Agency and ST Kinetics. Shephard understands that manufacturer Paramount was involved in the project too.
The Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) revealed the Belrex is configured into ten versions for a wide range of missions to provide close-proximity support to the infantry force.
It will replace some duties currently carried out by soft-skin Mercedes-Benz 290, Unimog and MAN 5t trucks.
