SHOT Show 2018: Commercial market supports army ammunition readiness
Operators of the US Army’s Lake City Army Ammunition Plant, Orbital ATK Small Caliber Systems, Defense Systems Group, made its SHOT Show debut in 2018.
The organisation’s presence at this year’s SHOT Show highlights the little-known link between Army readiness and the civilian commercial ammunition market.
As operators of the government-owned small calibre ammunition production facility, Orbital ATK supports Army readiness through the annual manufacture of billions of rounds of 5.56mm, 7.62mm, .50 Caliber and 20mm ammunition for US military operations.

Saab unveils new round to defeat explosive reactive armour
