Artillery units of the Russian armed forces’ Western Military District have received a batch of Shturm-S anti-tank missile systems, the Russian Ministry of Defence announced on 10 May.

More than ten self-propelled systems were delivered to the units to enhance the combat capabilities of the army.

The Shturm-S is capable of locating targets in all weather conditions, terrain and light conditions. It can engage small-sized armoured targets and helicopters in hovering flight, including while on the move.
