Rheinmetall secures €475 million gun deal
Rheinmetall and a Middle Eastern customer, understood to be Qatar, have signed an export deal worth €475million to supply equipment for Leopard 2A7 MBTs and PzH 2000 self-propelled howitzers.
Rheinmetall announced the contract on 18 June with the company planning to supply over 60 L55 tank guns for the Leopard with fire control electronics and electro-optical sensors for the medium-calibre weapon station.
