Romania procures transport equipment for army
The National Defence Ministry (NDM) of Romania has procured 172 wheeled trailers and semi-trailers, as the NATO member state continues efforts to enhance the equipment available to the armed forces while also helping to develop the national defence industry.
A RON24 million ($5.5 million) contract was signed with the Romanian company SC Automecanica Mediaș SRL at the headquarters of the Armaments Department in April. The agreement will run for four years.
An NDM spokesperson confirmed to Shephard that this transport equipment will enhance the mobility because it can be deployed wherever the Romanian Land Forces will need it.
