Poland relaunches 4x4 Mustang tender

The Polish Armament Inspectorate has relaunched a competition for a new light multipurpose 4x4 vehicle, after the initial tender fell through last month.

The new 'Mustang' tender was launched on 18 July and calls for the procurement of 913 vehicles. This includes 872 soft skin and 41 armoured platforms, with deliveries scheduled to begin in 2019 and continue through to 2022. 

The programme includes options for an additional 2,787 unarmored platforms with deliveries to conclude in 2026. These new vehicles will replace legacy Honker (pictured above) and UAZ469 jeeps.
