Philippine marines rehearse at sea with AAVs
Philippine Marine Corps (PMC) crews trained on their new Korea Amphibious Assault Vehicles (KAAV), acquired from Hanwha Techwin, alongside the USMC in early September.
US marines from the AAV Company, 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force conducted a subject matter expert exchange to share its experience in amphibious operations.
During the exchange in Subic Bay, the PMC launched its KAAVs from the Philippine Navy (PN) ship BRP Davao Del Sur for the first time and swam ashore.
