Myanmar gets ready for BTR-4 production
Myanmar and Ukraine have created a JV for the former to assemble BTR-4U 8x8 armoured vehicles and 2S1U Gvozdika tracked SPHs, although both governments remain coy on the deal.
Ukrspecexport, Ukraine’s state military export agency, is helping establish the assembly plant in Myanmar where the hulls will be welded, with the deal apparently signed as far back as 2014. Rumours of the JV began circulating in early 2017.
